Legendary Origin

MOTO MORINI was founded by ALFONSO MORINI in Bologna in 1937. MM was formerly set up by ALFONSO MORINI and MARIO MAZZETTI in 1924.Tricycle was prevalent at that time in Italy.In January 1938, MOTO MORINI started producing tricycle with 350cc, 500cc and 600cc with high performance and low oil consumption.Since then, MOTO MORINI became one of European market favorite choice.

Running Through Wars and Flames

During World War II,  MOTO MORINI was in the front line against aggression.Bombings destroyed all factories but not ALFONSO MORINI love for motorcycles.He rebuilt factories in the summer of 1945 after war came into an end.

First Success

Turismo was released in Italy by MOTO MORINI in 1946, and became one of the annual best motorcycle.Rear shock abosorbers was initially  introduced to ensure ridding comfortability.It is one of the top performance 125cc motorcycle with 2 strokes in Europe.Racers won numerous victories and glories with Turismo.Meanwhile, it was perfected and modified for following new models.

Dramatic Expansion

Due to sales success and thriving development, MOTO MORINI moved to the new factory in 1955 in Via Bergami, BolognaIts yield was over twice times than other brands and gained a fair market.

Large Displacement

In 1977, MOTO MORINI started producing 500cc models. Franco Lambertini created a new 72° V-twin engine with exceptional technical advance: Heron-type combustion chamber, toothed belt distribution control, 6-speed gearbox, electric ignition. The engine was divided into different units. It can be of different displacements while most units remained same.  All these made the high performance with low oil consumption, and achieved incredible success.

Wildness

In 1980, MOTO MORINI came up with an off-road model for professional racing- Camel500. It was 500cc with a six-speed transmission and 2 cylinders, which support it won the gold medal in a six-day 4T race. Considering the 350cc models' structure, Camel started using square steel tubes and disc brakes. It was developed to 507cc with 43 HP.

New Century

In 2005, the naked muscular model was released-Corsaro 1200. 87° V-twin Bialbero Corsa Corta engine with exceptional technical advance was applied. With a compact structure, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder and six-speed transmission, the engine was with higher loading capacity and stronger running endurance. It was designed and developed by Franco Lambertini-one of the best MOTO MORINI designer.

In 2008, MOTO MORINI brought up a new model, 9 1/2, with same excellent 87° V-twin Bialbero Corsa Corta engine. Granpasso 1200 went to the public in the same year. This model was designed to show the beauty and curves of steel and metal. with a larger toque and excellent power support engine, Granpasso ran faster with lower oil consumption while at low RPM.

Development from 2 Strokes

to 4 Strokes

ALFONSO MORINI foresaw the bright future of 4 stroke engine when it did not prevail at that time. In 1959, Corsaro 125 came in the market. with a 25kg streamlined engine, it was a combination of high performance and classic structural design.
